Joyce was born in a small community, North of New Brunswick, called Lavillette. She was raised in Miramichi and now resides in Dieppe. She has three children and three grandchildren.
She has obtained a Law Degree from the University de Moncton and have practiced law in New Brunswick specializing in Family, Property and Estate Law.
